Visitors to Provence France can rent automobiles at all major airports and in most French cities. The highway system in France is excellent, however, tolls are collected on the major freeways.

The highway along the French Riviera is always busy, particularly during holiday periods. Consequently, it is recommended to avoid rush hour periods whenever possible.
